Mr. Brumitt
joined the
firm in
1984, became
a director
and
shareholder
in 1990, and
served as
the Managing
Director
from
2003-2005.
During his
tenure with
the firm,
Mr.
Brumitt’s
practice has
ranged from
representation
of
individuals
and small
businesses
in a variety
of legal
disputes to
representation
of large
corporations
in high
stakes,
complex
multi-party
litigation.
As a result
of his
unique and
diverse
experience,
Mr. Brumitt
maintains a
flexible
practice
responsive
to a broad
range of
client
needs. Mr.
Brumitt
specializes
in the area
of
construction
law and
litigation
and was
named as a
Super Lawyer
in Missouri
and Kansas
in 2005 in
that area.
He also has
extensive
experience
in the
practice
areas of
insurance
and
reinsurance,
insurance
brokerage,
bankruptcy,
business
law,
personal
injury, real
estate, and
contracts.
Mr. Brumitt
has appeared
in a number
of state
courts in
and
throughout
Missouri and
Kansas, has
litigated
cases in a
variety of
federal
courts
including
federal
jurisdictions
in Missouri,
Kansas,
Pennsylvania,
Louisiana
and
California
and has
appeared and
argued cases
in state and
federal
appellate
courts as
well as
appearing in
other
administrative
and
alternative
dispute
forums.
Mr. Brumitt
is very
active in
his
neighborhood,
community,
and church,
collects and
listens to a
wide variety
of music,
enjoys
sports and
coaching
youth teams,
and raises
two
children,
Samuel and
Caroline,
with his
wife,
Kristina.
