Practice Experience
After graduation from law school, Marty became the Senior Law Clerk for the Honorable William H. Becker, Chief Judge of the Western District of Missouri. He then began private practice in 1979, specializing in multiple lines of insurance defense and aviation law.

Marty represents insurance companies, manufacturers, pilots, owner/operators, and other insureds in negligence and product liability cases in both state and Federal jurisdictions. He has also prepared lectures and taught at various seminars and classes.

Marty is a licensed pilot with over 4,000 hours in various types of aircraft. His license includes single and multi engine land, and instrument ratings. Flying C-130’s for the Air Force during Vietnam, Marty was awarded six Air Medals, and the Distinguished Flying Cross. He also served as a pilot in the Missouri Air National Guard, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel (ret.).
