Ketchum Named Managing Director of Dysart Taylor
Amanda Pennington Ketchum was recently named as the managing director of the law firm of Dysart Taylor Cotter McMonigle & Montemore, P.C. The firm’s directors unanimously selected Mandy as the managing director due to her accomplishments as a litigator and her leadership within the firm and community. She is the first woman managing director in the firm’s 80-year history.
Mandy’s practice focuses on personal injury and employment litigation. She has represented clients in matters involving multimillion dollar damage claims in personal injury cases and defended numerous clients before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Missouri Commission on Human Rights. Her achievements include being selected for inclusion in Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers Magazine from 2009 to 2014, including being recognized as a Top 50 Woman Super Lawyer in Missouri and a Top 100 Super Lawyer in Missouri by this publication in 2014; being named to the Kansas City Business Journal’s Best of the Bar list from 2009 to 2014; being named an Up and Coming Lawyer by Missouri Lawyers Weekly in 2013; and being named Young Lawyer of the Year by the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association in 2010.
In the community, Mandy is active in the Missouri Bar Association where she serves on its board of governors and is past chair of its Young Lawyers Council. She is president-elect of the Association for Women Lawyers of Greater Kansas City, and is a member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association and the Transportation Lawyers Association. She sits on the board of directors for Lawyers Encouraging Academic Performance (LEAP) and has been a volunteer girls’ basketball coach at Visitation Parish. In her “spare time” Mandy and her husband Ty are busy raising their three children.
