Matthew Geary appointed to the Roeland Park Parks – Tree Committee by Mayor Adrienne Foster.
Mr. Geary will serve as the chair of the committee through 2010. The Parks – Tree Committee makes recommendations to the City Council regarding City owned parks and parkland.
Cotter to Continue Service to a Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers’ Board of Directors
Robert Cotter was nominated and elected to serve another three-year term on the Board of Directors for the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers (MODL). MODL was established to help defense attorneys provide the highest quality representation for clients throughout the state. Since its inception in 1984, the organization has supported the state`s defense lawyers with continuing legal education programs, amicus curiae briefs and a wide variety of information assistance programs. In addition, MODL has sought, through its legislative efforts, to balance the scales of justice for all citizens.
Brumitt Serves as Panelist for Kansas City Chapter of American Subcontractors Association
On September 8, 2009, Lee Brumitt served as a panelist for a meeting of the Kansas City Chapter of the American Subcontractors Association (“ASA”). Mr. Brumitt serves on the Association’s Membership and Marketing Committee and is a regular contributor to the Association’s educational programs. ASA is national organization which supports subcontractors through quality educational programs, legal assistance and advocacy, and legislative reform.
Ketchum Elected by Her Peers to
Missouri Bar Young Lawyer’s Council
Amanda Pennington Ketchum was recently elected to serve her third term on the Missouri Bar Young Lawyers Council. Amanda was one of 9 candidates running for 5 seats on the Council. She was the only incumbent out of 4 to retain her seat. Amanda also represents the Kansas City region on the Council’s Executive Committee.
