Dysart Taylor associate attorney Allison Sadler recently completed the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association’s (KCMBA) Ross T. Roberts Trial Academy. The Academy is an annual program that provides participating attorneys with training and guidance from experienced litigators and judges, allowing them to practice trial techniques in a realistic courtroom setting.

Organized in conjunction with the KCMBA Young Lawyers Section and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri, the program is designed to teach new lawyers trial advocacy skills to enhance their practice and capabilities as attorneys. This year, the program was led by Associate Circuit Judge Janette K. Rodecap, United States Judge Stephen R. Bough and Magistrate Judge W. Brian Gaddy. Training sessions covered voir dire, opening statements, direct and cross examinations, evidentiary foundations, expert witnesses, and closing arguments.

“I am so grateful to have been given the opportunity to take part in the Ross T. Roberts Trial Academy this year,” Sadler said. “The knowledge I have gained from such talented professionals in the Kansas City legal community during this program will be invaluable as I continue to grow as an attorney.”

Sadler is a skilled civil litigation attorney with experience representing clients in insurance defense, product liability and personal injury matters.
