Dysart Taylor associate attorneys Allison Sadler and Samantha Sicola recently attended McDonald’s TLPG Conference in Chicago. The multiday conference highlighted how technology and data-driven tools are becoming increasingly relevant to litigation and trial strategy — insights that extend well beyond any single client and strengthen the firm’s ability to defend clients across its practice.
Throughout the conference, Sadler and Sicola had the opportunity to participate in discussions about a variety of topics, including litigation strategy, technology, and best practices applicable to defending complex claims. One session in particular focused on the use of AI in litigation, which introduced Viewpoints AI, a platform that creates simulated jurors and allows attorneys to test case themes, evidence, trial strategies, potential verdicts, and other aspects of a case.
The simulation focused on a “hot coffee” mock trial, where attendees watched portions of the actual mock jurors deliberations and compared those results with the AI-generated jurors’ deliberations, which were surprisingly similar, resulting in interesting discussions about where and how AI may fit into litigation strategy and jury analysis.
The conference also addressed practical coordination strategies between corporate clients and outside litigation teams — approaches that Sadler and Sicola are now positioned to apply when defending insureds across a range of matters.
