Each holiday season, Dysart Taylor Cotter McMonigle & Montemore, P.C. selects a local charity to designate for firmwide giving. This year, the firm partnered with FosterAdopt Connect, a nonprofit that helps foster children, youth and families as they navigate the complexities of the Kansas and Missouri child welfare systems.
The firm’s donations focused on an often forgotten demographic in the welfare system – teenagers. Attorneys and staff donated age-specific gift cards, headphones, cologne/perfume, makeup and Chiefs and Royals gear, in addition to cash donations.
FosterAdopt Connect works to find foster homes for children who have suffered abuse and neglect and to support foster families with clothing, food, licensing, training, behavioral health care and advocacy. Just this year, the local nonprofit served more than 1,700 children.
