Dysart Taylor director and shareholder Amanda Pennington Ketchum served as a panelist in a discussion recently held at the Women in the Profession Kickoff Event hosted by the Association for Women Lawyers of Greater Kansas City (AWL). A distinguished group of attorneys and legal professionals provided insight on topics ranging from overcoming obstacles for women’s advancement in the legal profession, leadership success and stereotypes.

AWL was formed in 1976 to advance the role of women in the legal profession. Its membership continues to grow and now includes more than 600 lawyers and judges in the Kansas City area. Members are committed to helping women thrive in the practice of law by providing education, networking, philanthropy and camaraderie opportunities.

Ketchum’s practice focuses on a variety of civil litigation ranging from representing trucking companies in catastrophic injury claims and retailers in slip-and-fall claims to helping professionals navigate a malpractice claim. Using her extensive experience, she meticulously investigates accidents and works with clients to strategically litigate cases through trial.
