Dysart Taylor McMonigle Brumitt & Wilcox, P.C., a majority women owned and thriving law firm, seeks an experienced litigation paralegal to join its newly renovated office on the Plaza in Kansas City, Missouri. The litigation paralegal supports attorneys through every stage of litigation in the defense of personal injury, claims involving professional liability, and employment matters. Duties:
- Collect, organize, and summarize medical records
- Analyze and summarize police reports and other litigation records
- Draft summaries of depositions and case reports
- Electronic document production and database management
- Assist with drafting discovery, motions, and correspondence
- Assist in preparation for depositions, hearings, and trials
- Work with clients and experts to prepare for depositions, and trials
- Prepare subpoenas, discovery and other litigation support documents
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of paralegal litigation experience preferred
- Strong writing and communication skills, with attention to detail
- Ability to handle competing deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365
- Experience with trial preparation and support
- Team-oriented attitude
Job Type: Full-time (Monday-Friday) with potential to work from home 1 day/week after a trial period.
