Montemore Featured in KC Counselor’s Veterans Tribute

The KC Counselor profiled Dysart Taylor attorney Marty Montemore in its Veterans Day Tribute. The article highlights Marty’s years as an Air Force pilot. He joined the Air Force upon graduating from college and went through training in Enid, Okla. Marty gained experience flying a variety of aircraft, including a single-engine plane, a supersonic jet and a C-130 four-engine turboprop transport.

While serving in Vietnam, Marty logged more than 1,000 combat flight hours. He never lost an aircraft even though he frequently encountered incoming ground fire. For his wartime efforts, he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal with six Oak Leaf Clusters.

Marty remains a licensed pilot with more than 4,000 hours in various types of aircraft. His license includes single and multiengine land and instrument ratings. He completed his service as a pilot in the Missouri Air National Guard, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel (ret.).

He now uses his aviation experience to represent insureds, insurance companies, manufacturers, pilots, owner/operators, in negligence and product liability cases in both state and federal jurisdictions. Marty practices in litigation with an emphasis in insurance defense and products liability.
