Dysart Taylor Cotter McMonigle & Montemore, P.C. is proud of the long and distinguished career of attorney Kent M. Bevan, who has announced his retirement, effective December 31, 2020.

Kent, who served as the firm’s managing director from 2001-2002, joined the firm in 1988. He focused his practice in the fields of insurance law and litigation, as well as transportation and logistics, and dedicated himself to creating successful results for clients handling complex insurance matters, coverage analysis, liability claims and property damage cases.

What do you remember about the day you took the bar exam?
“It was two very long days. I had writer’s cramp from answering the essay questions.”

What was the first “big case” you worked on alone/as the lead?
“I have too many important cases; it was too long ago now to remember.”

What’s your best memory of working at Dysart Taylor?
“The camaraderie around the office and with the great lawyers and staff at the firm.”

If you could give only one piece of advice to law students, what would it be?
“Focus and work hard for your clients as you practice law, and then after the work is concluded, play hard; repeat.”

What, if anything, will you miss most from practicing law?
“Working with great clients, and I know I will miss the Dysart team.”

What are you looking forward to most in retirement?
“Traveling more, golfing, volunteering and spending more quality time with family and friends.”
