February 6, 2026

On February 1, 2026, Dysart Taylor president John Wilcox was inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame with his 1989-1990 Missouri State University teammates and coaches. Wilcox was a first team all-conference offensive lineman in 1990 and earned academic all-conference honors in 1989 and 1990.

The 1989 and 1990 MSU football teams were the best in school history, combining for a 19-6 record. Each team won the Gateway Conference championship, participated in the I-AA (now FCS) playoffs and was ranked in the top 10 in the nation. All of this success culminated in the teams’ induction into the Hall of Fame this year.

Opened in 1994, The Missouri Sports Hall of Fame celebrates the accomplishments of athletes from the state’s past, while inspiring future athletes to succeed. All inductees have helped mold Missouri sports into what it is today.

Wilcox graduated cum laude from MSU in 1990 with a double major in political science and psychology while playing football, before going on to receive his Juris Doctor from the University of Kansas School of Law. In his practice, Wilcox assists his clients in areas such as transportation and logistics, products liability, mediation and more.
