Dysart Taylor shareholder/director John F. Wilcox, Jr., current president of the Transportation Lawyers Association, authored his third President’s Message in the December edition of The Transportation Lawyer, where he lamented 2020’s stark reminder that things are not always consistent or certain while looking to 2021 with hope.

In his letter, Wilcox outlined the crazy events of the two-week period prior to writing the letter, which included the death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the U.S. coronavirus death toll exceeding 200,000, the first of the scheduled presidential debates and President Trump and the First Lady contracting the coronavirus.

Wilcox explained that, despite the crazy times of 2020, the TLA was able to host an impressive list of virtual events and webinars, including January’s virtual Chicago Regional Seminar & Bootcamp and the first in TLA’s current webinar series. Learn more about all TLA events on their website.

Wilcox concludes his letter with a list of thanks, including those who attended TLA conferences and webinars in 2020, as well as the members who volunteered time to chair committees, recruited and mentored new members, wrote articles, and spoke at our various programs.

For more than 20 years, Wilcox has represented clients in the trucking industry, advising motor carriers, drivers, 3PLs, shippers, manufacturers and governmental entities in wrongful death, serious personal injury and property claims.
