Dysart Taylor director John F. Wilcox, Jr., current president of the Transportation Lawyers Association (TLA), authored his fourth President’s Message in the February edition of The Transportation Lawyer, where he outlined the steps the TLA has recently taken to ensure diversity and inclusion within the association and why it’s crucial to the future of the TLA.
In his letter, Wilcox shared the full text of the new diversity statement, which was unveiled at a December webinar event, Diversity, Inclusion & Equity – You Need to DIE on this Hill! Creating Change Agents One Person at a Time.
Wilcox concluded his letter by expressing a hope for a “return to normal” in 2021, starting with the annual conference in June, currently scheduled for a hybrid event in Olympic Valley, California, where TLA members can join virtually or in person. Learn more about all TLA events on their website.
