Anne Baggott presented on the topic of “The New Medical Marijuana Law: The Impact on Business Employment Policies” at the Missouri Bar Annual Meeting and Judicial Conference on September 19, 2019. She presented to Missouri attorneys about Missouri’s new medical marijuana law as it relates to employers and employment policies.
Amendment 2, which passed November 6, 2018, legalizes growing, manufacturing, selling and consuming marijuana and marijuana products for medicinal use at the state level. During the presentation, Anne spoke to the qualifying medical conditions and the impacts of Amendment 2 on business employment policies, highlighting when employees have the right to use medical marijuana, drug testing, disability-related issues and other areas where the employer may be impacted.
