Dysart Taylor Cotter McMonigle & Brumitt, P.C. is pleased to announce Blaine Smith has joined the firm as an associate, focusing on construction law and litigation.

Smith’s experience with the U.S. Attorney’s office and Johnson County District Attorneys’ office, while a law student at University of Kansas School of Law, and as a clerk for the Honorable Lesley Ann Isherwood of the Kansas Court of Appeals strengthened his understanding of legal framework and application of the law to a vast array of cases. He has developed strong legal research skills and has experience in the courtroom, which provide an ability to handle in-depth pretrial preparation and ensures relevant facts and arguments will be heard in each case. Smith has behind the scenes experience working at the Court of Appeals, which gives him unique insight of how to successfully present legal arguments in court.

“We are thrilled to welcome Blaine to the Dysart Taylor team,” said Michael J. Judy, the firm’s managing director. “Our clients depend on us to lead them to victory in their most difficult disputes, and I know Blaine will play an important role in successfully representing our clients.”

Smith received his undergraduate degree in political science and communication studies from the University of Kansas and a J.D. from University of Kansas School of Law.
