Dysart Taylor is pleased to announce that shareholder/director John F. Wilcox, Jr. has been elected President of the Transportation Lawyers Association (TLA). The TLA elected new officers on April 30 at a virtual version of its annual meeting, which was originally planned to be at the Omni Amelia Island Resort in Florida.
Wilcox becomes Dysart Taylor’s seventh TLA president, following Lee Reeder (1952), Wentworth E. Griffin (1962), Frank W. Taylor (1985), Alex M. Lewandowski (1994), current shareholder/director Kenneth R. Hoffman (2000), and current firm president Patrick K. McMonigle (2011). Dysart Taylor currently has more former TLA presidents than any other firm.

The TLA has five elected officers – Secretary/Treasurer, Second Vice President, First Vice President, President-Elect and President. Each year, the officers ascend to the next position and Wilcox has held each position. He’s also the former chair of the Logistics & e-Commerce Committee and a former Representative at Large on the Executive Committee.
For more than 20 years, Wilcox has represented clients in the trucking industry, advising motor carriers, drivers, 3PLs, shippers, manufacturers and governmental entities in wrongful death, serious personal injury and property claims.
The Transportation Lawyers Association (TLA) is an independent bar association, comprising in-house, government and private practice attorneys. Its members assist providers and commercial users of domestic and international logistics and transportation services, in all modes. TLA has been in the forefront of educating transportation attorneys for more than 75 years.
