Dysart Taylor President John Wilcox recently served as an informative co-presenter at the Spring 2024 USLAW NETWORK Client Conference in Phoenix, Arizona. Wilcox, alongside Patrick E. Foppe of Lashly & Baer, P.C. and Ron Lowell of Western Express, Inc. spoke on the topic of “Contract Law Meets Truck Accident Litigation.”
The presentation focused on identifying provisions in contracts between carriers, brokers and others that may create liability issues in truck accident cases. Some of the topics covered in the presentation included current warning trends in contracting, the tactics taken by plaintiffs’ bar to involve up-supply chain brokers and shippers, and the key contract terms that impact liability in trucking cases, such as control and expedited and timed delivery requirements.
