Dysart Taylor is pleased to announce Managing Director Amanda Pennington Ketchum facilitated a group discussion on how managing corporate social responsibility has become part of general counsel’s role at the annual Fall USLAW NETWORK Client Conference on September 25.

During the diversity, equity and inclusion discussion, Defining Corporate Social Responsibility and the Role That Chief Legal Officers and In-House Counsel Play in Protecting Your Company’s Reputation and Its Future, the facilitators addressed the general counsel’s ever-expanding role in identifying their business’s responsibility to the wider societal good.

Ketchum was joined by Matthew W. Bauer, a partner at Connell Foley in New Jersey, and Thomas L. Oliver, a founding shareholder at Carr Allison in Alabama, for the discussion.

The 2021 USLAW client conference, which took place at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colorado, was the first fall conference since 2019. Programming followed six different themes, including litigation and corporate trends post-COVID-19; diversity, equity and inclusion; leadership, management and succession; technology and innovation; and health and wellness.

Dysart Taylor is proud to be the only firm in Kansas City that is a member of the USLAW NETWORK, an international organization of nearly 100 independent, defense-based law firms with more than 6,000 attorneys covering the United States, Canada, Latin America, Europe, Asia and Africa.

Ketchum’s practice focuses on a variety of civil litigation ranging from representing trucking companies in catastrophic injury claims and retailers in slip-and-fall claims to helping professionals navigate a malpractice claim. Using her extensive experience, she meticulously investigates accidents and works with clients to strategically litigate cases through trial.
