Dysart Taylor managing director Michael Judy recently presented at the Kansas Motor Carriers Association’s Annual Convention in Mulvane, Kansas.
Judy’s presentation, Nuclear Verdicts, Rapid Response and Early Investigation, discussed what is driving the rise in nuclear verdicts and how any verdict can impact a company’s bottom line. Judy showcased a variety of recent examples and case studies in which nuclear verdicts occurred. In the presentation, Judy dives into what steps companies can take immediately after learning about an accident or potential claim to obtain facts and protect against liability and a potential nuclear verdict.
The Kansas Motor Carriers Association is a nonprofit corporation that aims to provide progressive, organized leadership to help the transportation industry improve its services to the public and achieve its present stature. With membership of more than 600 companies, KMCA is an authority in the transportation industry in Kansas.

In his practice, Judy defends trucking companies and their drivers against personal injury and wrongful death lawsuits, advises transportation industry clients on key aspects of their businesses and guides clients to favorable results in defending claims against large and small entities at the local, regional and national levels. His practice also involves local, regional and national defense for retail, restaurant and other hospitality clients in a variety of claims and lawsuits, including matters such as slips and falls, negligent security and other operational issues.
