Dysart Taylor managing director Michael Judy recently attended and presented at the USLAW NETWORK Retail and Hospitality Industry Executive Risk Forum in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The multiday event was designed for representatives from restaurants, entertainment venues and other businesses faced with general liability matters to network with USLAW member firms that provide skilled services in these industries, as well as hear key takeaways from speakers and panels throughout the event. Some of the topics covered over the course of the forum included AI and new technologies in the industry, Medicare and the science behind traumatic brain injuries.
Judy was a co-facilitator on the topic “Putting the Company’s Best Foot Forward in Deposition and Trial” alongside Frank Gattuso of Sweeney & Sheehan P.C. in Philadelphia and Kaylen Kadotani of Hanson Bridgett LLP in San Francisco. During the session, attorneys and clients had the opportunity to discuss strategies for humanizing companies during depositions and trials by effectively utilizing corporate representatives. The conversation covered how to identify suitable representatives, prepare them for their role and equip them with the necessary tools for success.
Dysart Taylor is proud to be the only firm in Kansas City that is a member of the USLAW NETWORK, an international organization of nearly 100 independent, defense-based law firms with more than 6,000 attorneys covering the United States, Canada, Latin America, Europe, Asia and Africa.
In his practice, Judy defends trucking companies and their drivers against personal injury and wrongful death lawsuits, advises transportation industry clients on key aspects of their businesses and guides clients to favorable results in defending claims against large and small entities at the local, regional and national levels.
