Dysart Taylor director Michael Judy discussed how corporate records, including a company’s policy and procedure manuals can be used potential litigation at a Kansas Motor Carriers Association private training on August 25.

His presentation, Use of Safety & Driver Manuals & Corporate Records in Litigation, is part of an ongoing series regarding nuclear verdicts and how companies can protect themselves in litigation. Judy discussed what corporate records opposing counsel typically look for in litigation and provided forward thinking tips on how to best utilize these corporate records to the company’s advantage.

In addition, Judy outlined how plaintiff lawyers attempt to use these records against the company in litigation, and offered insights on how to avoid “gotcha” moments during depositions and trial.

In his practice, Judy defends trucking companies and their drivers against personal injury and wrongful death lawsuits, advises transportation industry clients on key aspects of their business and guides clients to favorable results in defending claims against large and small entities at the local, regional and national level.
