Dysart Taylor is pleased to announce director Michael Judy presented best practices for corporate representative depositions, including how to combat the popular Reptile Theory, at a private, in-house training for a national LTL carrier.

The presentation, which focused on preparing for and testifying during a corporate representative deposition, was given to the safety managers. The presentation included tips and techniques to combat Reptile Theory line of questioning. The Reptile Theory is a litigation tactic focused on presenting safety and security issues to subtly encourage jurors to envision themselves in the same situation as a plaintiff.

This was the third time Judy has presented on this topic to the company and during the presentation, one of the safety managers relayed to the group that he refers to his notes from the presentation before every deposition as it allows him to be an effective advocate for the company.

In his practice, Judy defends trucking companies and their drivers against personal injury and wrongful death lawsuits, advises transportation industry clients on key aspects of their business and guides clients to favorable results in defending claims against large and small entities at the local, regional and national level in the retail and hospitality industry.
