Don is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Tax Court, Missouri Supreme Court, Kansas Supreme Court, Third Circuit Court of Appeals, Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, U.S. District Court for the Western and Eastern Districts of Missouri, District of Kansas and the Middle District of Florida at Tampa.

Don focuses his practice on the resolution of commercial, business and personal disputes through negotiation, mediation, arbitration and litigation. His practice covers complex business, commercial and personal disputes as well as condemnation actions, employment disputes, complex dissolution of marriage matters involving business issues, business torts, contract disputes, real estate and general commercial litigation.

Don has also been involved in a variety of complex cases involving contracts, real estate, securities, commodities, civil fraud and fiduciary duties, as well as class action cases in federal and state courts around the country. His more than 20 years of class action experience involves more than 30 separate cases, including several in the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri. In addition, he completed mediation training for civil cases. Don is listed as a mediator for Missouri state courts and the Western District of Missouri federal court.



Don has represented plaintiffs and defendants in various areas of the law including:

  • Consumer and financial fraud
  • Public condemnation of real estate
  • Breach of and specific performance of contracts
  • Destruction of business and lost profit damages
  • Mechanic’s liens, real estate contracts, leases, title disputes, quiet title, adverse possession and boundary disputes
  • Complex dissolution of marriage, including pre- and post-nuptial agreements, tracing, valuing and division of assets, and spousal support
  • Employment discrimination and sexual harassment
  • Not-for-profits
