Bio
Libby Baker, a University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law graduate, began her legal career as a law clerk at a Columbia law firm, gaining extensive experience in drafting legal documents, including motions, briefs, petitions and responsive pleadings in criminal defense and personal injury law matters in state, federal and appellate courts. She gained hands-on experience into jury trial preparation by assisting with evidence management, trial strategy and jury selection. Working closely with firm attorneys, Libby attended and assisted teams during these jury trials as well as bench trials, depositions, mediations and motion hearings.
Throughout her experience as a law clerk, Libby garnered a unique perspective for the legal process across a variety of practice areas. From personal injury and workers’ compensation matters to criminal defense matters, Libby’s exposure to numerous practice areas gives her a point of view that allows her to adapt quickly to different scenarios and develop legal strategies accordingly.
Libby completed her undergraduate degree in political science with a prelaw emphasis at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Arts & Sciences. She received both an American Constitutional Certificate and Multicultural Certificate and graduated summa cum laude.
