Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper

Dysart Taylor Cotter McMonigle & Brumitt, P.C. is seeking a staff accountant/bookkeeper to perform general accounting duties and provide support to the Finance Manager and Legal Manager. Please send your resume, along with salary requirements, to Legal Manager Shelby Nusrala.

Duties:

  • Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements
  • Reconcile monthly general ledger
  • Handle the printing and reporting of accounts payable check runs
  • Assist in billing/invoicing reconciliations
  • Assist in collection of past due balances
  • Post bi-weekly payroll to the general ledger
  • Compile financial information into a formatted budget statement for use in monthly/annual financial statement
  • Update and maintain spreadsheet templates used in generating the financial statements
  • Perform other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

  • An associate degree in accounting or other related experience
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of GAAP
  • Minimum of two years accounting experience
  • Knowledge of TABS is a plus
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Impeccable attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software, especially Excel
