Baggott Presents at USLAW Network Fall Conference and Missouri Bar Annual Meeting

Anne Baggott presented on the topic of “Navigating Employee Leaves of Absence” at the Fall 2017 USLAW Network Client Conference in Carlsbad, California, on September 9, 2017. Anne offered guidance to a national audience of employment attorneys and in-house counsel who work through legal issues under the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and workers’ compensation statutes. USLAW is an international organization of more than 60 independent, full-practice firms with roots in civil litigation, including more than 6,000 attorneys across the United States, Canada, Latin America and Asia, and with affiliations in Africa and with TELFA in Europe. USLAW members practice in highly rated law firms that are part of the network by invitation only.

At the Missouri Bar Annual Meeting on September 14, 2017, Anne presented to Missouri attorneys on key employment law updates from the 2017 legislative session. Anne discussed Missouri’s Right to Work law and the Whistleblower’s Protection Act and amendments to the Missouri Human Rights Act, and the Workers’ Compensation Law, along with the current status of the Department of Labor’s overtime rule for “white collar” employees. Anne also helped plan the Annual Meeting as a member of its planning committee.
