Boe Elected to UMKC Women’s Council Board of Directors

Leslie A. Boe was elected to the University of Missouri – Kansas City Women’s Council Board of Directors. The organization manages the Graduate Assistance Fund which award grants to women UMKC grad students.

From the UMKC Women’s Council website:

“The Women’s Council sponsors a number of annual and ongoing events and programs. A hallmark of Women’s Council programs, the Graduate Assistance Fund has sponsored fellowships and short-term assistance for more than 1,800 exceptional women graduate students at UMKC. Members and friends contribute annually to the GAF endowment or establish lasting gifts through named awards.

High among the educational offerings of the Women’s Council shines the annual Starr Symposium, co-organized by the Women’s Center. The Starr Symposium examines the progress and needs of women locally, nationally and globally. The Women’s Council also works through the Women’s Collaborative to achieve its educational objectives.”

Boe said, “I am honored and excited to be a part of this organization that makes a difference in the lives of truly amazing women.”
