Dysart Taylor attorneys Leslie Boe, Meghan Litecky and Maya Kapadia recently attended the UMKC Women’s Council 2025 Graduate Assistance Fund (GAF) Awards Reception. The firm was a sponsor of the event, which celebrated the continued financial support for women enrolled in graduate programs at UMKC.

Established in 1970, the UMKC Women’s Council GAF was designed to facilitate studies and encourage educational experiences for women graduate students at UMKC. Since its creation, the GAF has provided over 2,700 women with more than $2.5 million in graduate fellowships in their pursuits of graduate education. This year, 66 women in graduate and professional schools received nearly $97,000 in assistance.

Dysart Taylor shareholder/director Leslie Boe has been an active member of the Women’s Council since 2018, serving in numerous positions, including President of the Board of Directors from 2021 through 2023.

The UMKC Women’s Council is an organization that actively supports the education of women graduate students. Established in 1967, the founding women created an organization to engage women from the community in university life, explain to women what opportunities are open to them, and help women achieve success in their graduate and professional educations.
