Dysart Taylor managing director Michael Judy recently helped organize and facilitate the 2024 USLAW NETWORK Litigation Academy through the Future USLAW Leaders program. The Academy took place at the onset of the recent Spring 2024 USLAW NETWORK Client Conference in Phoenix, Arizona.
The Future USLAW Leaders group strives to foster the next generation of leaders at USLAW NETWORK through educational programming and creating opportunities for lawyers from USLAW firms to gather, network and participate in many facets of the organization and develop paths of leadership within USLAW. Judy serves as the chair of the Future USLAW Leaders program.
The Litigation Academy featured a variety of presentations and panel discussions on topics such as the inclusion and influence of expert testimonies in cases, how to strategically prepare for direct and cross-examination of expert witnesses, which included a mock case demonstration, and small group Q&A sessions to discuss specific challenges associated with expert witness involvement and how to overcome those challenges.
The event was a highly educational and interactive opportunity for all participants. Judy, alongside the co-chairs of Future USLAW Leaders, Julie A. Brennan of Pion, Nerone, Girman & Smith, P.C.; Jeffrey C. Hendrickson of Pierce Couch Hendrickson Baysinger & Green, LLP; Kevin McCarthy of Larson • King, LLP; and Eddy Silverman of Williams Kastner; were able to achieve the mission of providing networking and educational opportunities for those involved in Future USLAW Leaders.
