Dysart Taylor attorneys Katy Alsobrook, Michael Judy, Amanda Pennington KetchumSydney Paquette and John Wilcox recently attended the 2025 USLAW NETWORK Annual Client Conference in Colorado Springs. Judy also served as a facilitator for one of the conference’s The Litigation Playbook track sessions.

The annual conference offers attendees and members the opportunity to attend industry-focused legal programming that is more interactive for participants and encourages participation and conversation among members. This year, the conference included seven concurrent learning tracks, including The Litigation Playbook, The Modern General Counsel, USLAW Close-up and more. Each track offered different topics and learning opportunities for attendees to choose from.

Judy was a co-facilitator for a session under The Litigation Playbook learning track, Strategic Negotiation: In-House Counsel’s Guide to Engaging Judges, Magistrates and Mediators. Alongside co-facilitators Jaqueline Bushwack of Rivkin Radler LLP, R. Eric Toney of Copeland, Cook, Taylor & Bush, P.A. and Lisa Zemanek of Flix North America Inc., Judy discussed the role of judges, mediators and magistrates in resolving cases and provided insight on how to manage internal expectations and timelines, align outside counsel with business goals and reputational concerns, and which questions to ask to ensure you are driving negotiation outcomes.

Dysart Taylor is proud to be the only firm in Kansas City that is a member of the USLAW NETWORK, an international organization of nearly 100 independent, defense-based law firms with more than 6,000 attorneys covering the United States, Canada, Latin America, Europe, Asia and Africa.
