Dysart Taylor shareholders/directors Leslie Boe, Meghan Litecky, Anne Lindner Saghir and associate Sydney Paquette recently attended the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Foundation’s (KCMBF) annual Liberty & Justice Gala, which is the primary fundraising event to support the foundation and its Legal Connection programs:

  • Domestic Violence Alliance promotes advocacy for the victims of domestic violence.
  • Military Matters fills the gaps in legal services available to service members and veterans.
  • Student Law Academy provides underserved urban high school students with meaningful exposure to careers in the legal profession as well as a broad overview of the legal system.

KCMBF serves the community by creating and supporting public service or educational programs that promote the administration of justice, delivery of legal services, professional development and respect for the law, such as the programs above.

Dysart Taylor was a proud sponsor of the Gala, and Litecky serves on the KCMBF Board of Directors and acted as the sponsorship committee chair for the 2023 Gala, which raised $186,000 in funds that will go toward KCMBF’s Legal Connection programming. The event featured a dinner, auction and a presentation to celebrate all of the volunteer work performed by lawyers in the Kansas City community.
